WHAT IS SPIRITUAL CARE?

Our Spiritual Care team extends help to those walking through difficult times. We walk alongside people through many challenges including spiritual, relational, financial, or grief. We use prayer, mentoring, coaching, guidance, and professional referrals as tools of care.

All spiritual care is confidential and offered free of charge. 

What is considered a group?

  • Community of Believers

    We have been designed to be in relationship with others. Relationships define us, grow us, challenge us, strengthen us, and bless us. While our culture devalues personal relationships, Scripture requires them. God uses community to mature and grow his people. "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." Proverbs 27:17

  • Bible-Based Discussions

    Study and participation in Bible-based discussions is an important part of spiritual growth. Spiritually mature, vetted small group leaders direct discussions based on a variety of biblical topics or select books of the Bible. "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope." Romans 15:4

  • Support & Encouragement

    Small groups help us to form meaningful, deeper relationships than we'd normally find in the world. As it says in Romans 12:12, "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep." We pray for each other's healing, we cover each other's backs. Without the encouragement of others, sin hardens our heart (Hebrews 3:13). Small groups provide an atmosphere for transparency and accountability.

Marriage Mentoring

Our marriage mentoring ministry is here to help relationships, either married, engaged, or seriously considering engagement, gain even greater health by walking with a seasoned married couple for mentoring. Through this mentoring relationship, the more experienced couple has the opportunity to share their wisdom, pray for the couple, and offer accountability.

Assessments

Pre-Marriage and Marriage Assessments uses SYMBIS or SYMBIS +, pre-marital or marital assessment tools, that helps ensure we are developing healthy marriages. After taking an online assessment, the couple will be matched with a trained SYMBIS mentor or a mentor couple, to walk through the results over a few weeks.
