Grace Buddies

Plain and simple, the Buddies Ministry is intended to provide a resource to families whose children may require additional support in order to be included in the weekend experience. This resource is a 1:1 “buddy”.

No way! This ministry originated from a family whose child who had special needs and needed a bit more support. We realized that PLENTY of kids need a little extra TLC. They may have special needs (diagnosed or not), have emotional sensitivities, be transitioning within foster care, or experiencing the loss of a loved one. There are many periods in life where one-to-one support can help a child feel his or her best.

Infant to 18 years old.

Because every child deserves to know and learn about Jesus Christ. We are here to make sure that ALL children are receiving a meaningful, biblical, and educational experience. Some children just need a bit of one-on-one support and guidance to have the same experience.

Yes and no. The Buddies Ministry falls under Family Ministries just like GraceKids. Our goal is inclusion, therefore we encourage our Buddies and their assigned child to remain with the GraceKids group and learn alongside of them as much as possible. We also offer a “chill space” for those children who may need a few moments of quiet either to calm, self-soothe, or collect themselves. All the learning and content is inclusive. If a child has a Buddy, they are part of GraceKids and follow the curriculum.

Yes! We envision that no child is overlooked, excluded, or uninformed of who Jesus Christ is. We will serve all children and families who have unique and special needs so that every family can encounter the truth of the Gospel.
