Raising teens is challenging and we want to make sure you have all the help you can get. Our Newburgh campus is hosting a parent training and equipping night on Wednesday, September 21st from 6:30pm to 8pm (the same time as Collective Youth East is meeting). We’ll be giving guidance, tools, and ideas on how to talk about challenging topics with your students. We’ll cover topics like sex, homosexuality, and gender identity. Space is limited.

Registration has just begun for the CY “Woman UP” conference for middle and high school girls. The event will be held at 12th Rock Sports in Middletown on Saturday, September 24th, from 8am to 8pm. Girls will learn valuable life skills as well as hear more about who the Lord created them to be! Girls will receive hands-on training in skills such as auto repair, minor construction, self-defense, basic plumbing, and make-up/dating etiquette. The cost is $25/student and includes all meals. Space is limited!

The Leadership Orientation class is for current and future leaders at Grace.
It’s a way to build a shared culture and learn key standards, as well as equip leaders to lead ministries or teams here at Grace Community. If you lead here at Grace or you are currently serving on a team and want to step into leadership in the future, this is your next step.

This class begins on September 25th and runs for 6 weeks. It will be held at 11:30 am in Meeting Room 2 of the Washingtonville Campus.

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a proven plan that helps you pay off debt fast and save more money for your future. We know that the economic impact of the pandemic has forced many families into overwhelming financial situations. Grace Community wants to help. The FPU program normally requires a course fee of up to $100.  For the first time, we are offering FPU for FREE to all. FPU is a 9-week program and will be held only at the Washingtonville Campus, weekly on Tuesdays at 7pm, beginning September 20th.

Not So Young Adults is a group for ages 22-35 who are looking to create community with like minded individuals who are on a serious path to building a life to honor Christ. This group is committed to the discipleship of its members by way of community with brothers and sisters in Christ. Along with monthly large group meetings, members will have opportunity to break into smaller groups to stay connected throughout the month. The group is open to couples and singles alike. Prayer, worship, and fellowship are the cornerstones of this group.

The group meets the last Saturday of each month from 7:00 – 9:00pm.  The next meeting is September 24th.

The Essentials Class dives deeper into the core teachings of Christianity and explains what it means to live as a Christian in today’s culture. This 8-week course is being offered as a hybrid class (in person and virtually) starting Sunday, October 2nd. The class will be held in person at 1pm in Washingtonville.  A link will be sent for those choosing to attend virtually (also at 1pm), more information to follow on the virtual option.

Imagine you’re on a spaceship strapped in and ready to launch into space. You can hear mission control counting down 10, 9, 8…….. and you turn to the person next to you and say, “Where are we going?” The person next to you says “I don’t really know much at all but I guess we will have the rest of our lives to find out more about it.” Unfortunately that is how many Christians behave regarding heaven, our eternal destination. We don’t know much but we know were are going there. It could be that they believe that the Bible has little to say about heaven and therefore feel it is unimportant to focus on things so far away and so little is known. The truth is the Bible does have a lot to say about heaven and it is immensely important that we understand and prepare now for where we are going to spend eternity. This 7 week study will offer a biblical study on heaven. Course materials must be purchased in advance.

The course meets October 9th – November 20th at 8:15am in Meeting Room 2.

Grace MOMs Ministry–NEW MEETING FORMAT! Grace Washingtonville hosts a group for mothers of ALL ages which is open to all campuses and the community. The MOMs ministry meets twice a month from October through June each year. Moms get together for good food, great conversations, important discussion topics and guest speakers! This year, the format has shifted to accommodate working moms. We will now hold an AM session and a PM session each month. On the second Wednesday of each month, beginning October 12th, an AM session will be held from 9:30am to 11:30am (childcare available); on the fourth Wednesday of the month, beginning October 26th, there will be a PM session from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (no childcare available). You can register to attend both sessions or chose which best meets your schedule! Registration is open at $15 for an AM or PM session, or $30 to attend all.
